Former Baltimore County Public Schools Superintendent S. Dallas Dance pleaded guilty this morning to four counts of perjury for failing to disclose nearly $150,000 he was paid for private consulting work while he was Baltimore County superintendent. He abruptly left that post in April, with three years left on his four year contract.
Dance, 37, was indicted for perjury in January by a Baltimore County grand jury for the unreported income connected to financial disclosure statements, filed under oath in 2012, 2013 and 2015.
According to the Baltimore Sun, prosecutors recommended a five year sentence and for him to serve 18 months in jail. Dance is scheduled to be sentenced April 20.
