The Internet nearly crashed on July 10 when Nicki Minaj posted a baby emoji on Twitter.
Minaj is a 34-year-old rapper, who has produced chart topping albums such as “Pink Friday” and “The Pinkprint” among others. Mostly popularized by her vulgar lyrics, Minaj’s fans didn’t know what to think of the baby tweet.

According to news sources, a majority of the fans thought the tweet could have been a pregnancy announcement, while others speculated that the tweet could represent DJ Khaled’s 7-month-old son, Asahd Tuck. Minaj, who was recently featured on one of Khaled’s singles on his album “Grateful” is also expecting to collaborate with with Khaled in the future, according to news outlets.
The baby emoji could also represent the birth of Minaj’s fourth album, which she has been hinting at for months.
“This better be a promo for your collab with Asahd and not a pregnancy announcement,” @jordansdiamonds tweeted on July 10.
Minaj is known for trolling fans and celebs. On Feb. 4, after Beyonce announced she was expecting twins, Minj posted a photo of herself on Instagram with a baby belly, with the caption, “Y’all so childish Omgskibbidybopbopghijhddfnjj, I was gonna wait to share the news but…”, which ended up being a joke.
