Jay Z Says He'll Continue Barneys Collaboration

NEW YORK (AP) — Jay Z says he'll continue his collaboration with Barneys despite allegations that black shoppers were racially profiled at the high-end retailer.

The rapper said in a statement Friday he's agreed to move forward with next week's launch of his BNY SCC collection under the condition that he helps lead the store's review of its policies. He says he's in a unique position to effect change.

Barneys New York says it has zero tolerance for discrimination.

The Brooklyn-born artist says 100 percent of sales from the collection will go toward his charitable foundation. An additional 10 percent of all Barneys' sales Wednesday, the day of the launch, will also be donated.

The state attorney general's office is looking into the profiling claims. The office didn't reply to a request for comment.
