Amanda Bynes Asks for President’s Help in DUI Dismissal

Taking a cue from the auto and banking industries, former Nickelodeon star Amanda Bynes is seeking a bailout from President Barack Obama.

Bynes asked Obama to dismiss a DUI charges against her, and made her Twitter plea simple.

“Hey @BarackObama… I don't drink. Please fire the cop who arrested me. I also don’t hit and run. The end.”

Bynes put up the twitter posting at 4:30 p.m. on June 5, the same day the charges were filed in the April 6 incident, but had not posted anything new as of three days later.

According to Reuters, Bynes pleaded not guilty June 6 to the charges. The actress was released on $5,000 bail and could face a harsher sentence for refusing a breathalyzer test. According to The Huffington Post, overcrowded conditions at the local jail will probably work in Bynes benefit, and she will serve a few hours misdemeanor charge that could get her six months.
According to a portion of the police reports, published by Liveleak.com, “Amanda Bynes attempted to pass to the right of the radio car, colliding with the right rear quarter panel of the radio car.” According to the statement, there was “minor paint transfer damage to both vehicles,” and she was booked shortly after the 3 a.m. incident.

In March, the “All That” and “Hairspray” actress fled the scene of a traffic stop after police pulled her over for talking on her cellphone, according to Redit.com. Bynes later appeared at a local police station, signed the ticket, and was allowed to leave. Bynes is set to appear in court again July 18.
