Brown to join small business owners, entrepreneurs to call on General Assembly to support successful loan and grant programs
ANNAPOLIS, Md. (March 5, 2010) – Lt. Governor Anthony G. Brown will join local business owners and entrepreneurs at Franklin’s Restaurant in Hyattsville on Monday to highlight the O’Malley-Brown administration’s jobs agenda and support for small business loan programs like the Neighborhood Business Works (NBW) program. The afternoon press conference will take place at Franklin’s Restaurant in Hyattsville. In 1995, Mike Franklin opened Franklin’s Restaurant with the help of an NBW grant. Today, Franklin’s employs 66 people and generates nearly $115,000 in State and local tax revenue each year.
