BALTIMORE, Md. (October 5, 2011) – Tomorrow, Lt. Governor Anthony G. Brown will address attendees at the Maryland Bankers Association “Next Leaders in Banking” Breakfast, where he will discuss the O’Malley-Brown Administration’s efforts to support Maryland’s banking industry. The Breakfast, being held in conjunction with the BankNext Conference, will honor up and coming leaders in Maryland’s banking industry.
The BankNext Conference is a one day event, hosted by the Maryland Bankers Association and The Warren Group, in partnership with the U.S. Small Business Administration and Maryland Banker magazine. It is the Capitol Region's largest exposition focused on emerging opportunities and innovative solutions for the banking industry. Attendees will participate in educational sessions, panels and exhibits, and will have the opportunity to network with other executives in the banking industry.
Lt. Governor Brown leads the O’Malley-Brown Administration’s economic development portfolio. He serves as chair of the Joint Legislative and Executive Commission on Oversight of Public-Private Partnerships and leads the recently launched FastTrack initiative – part of Maryland Made Easy (www.easy.maryland.gov) – to streamline the state permitting process for businesses. He also serves as chair of the Governor’s Subcabinet on Base Realignment and Closure.
