Comptroller Franchot to Stop in Baltimore City, Visit Hilton Elementary and Mount Royal Middle

Comptroller to Survey One School for Construction Funding, Speak at Another -

WHAT:           Comptroller Franchot will begin his day with a tour of Hilton Elementary in West Baltimore. During the visit, he will meet with school and city officials to discuss plans to replace heating and ventilating equipment in the school, as well as install air conditioning for the entire school with state funding.  Additionally, all of the windows and exterior doors will be replaced. The Board of Public Works, of which the Comptroller is a member, has already initially approved $2.2 million in funds for these improvements. 

Comptroller Franchot will also visit Mount Royal Middle School to speak to the “Stocks in the Future” class, which is a curriculum developed under Johns Hopkins University that teaches middle school students various financial skills.
