WHY: BGE is approaching full restoration of electric service to its customers who were affected by the derecho, which struck our central Maryland service territory. Nearly 4,700 BGE, contract and out-of-state field and support forces are working around-the-clock until each and every customer is restored. BGE is also preparing for the potential of additional severe storm activity today and throughout the weekend, which may result in additional outages.
NOTE: The staging site is located on Dorsey Road between Aviation Boulevard and Route 170 (near the SHA building). Trailers, utility trucks should be visible as you get closer to the location. Security will be onsite and available to direct you to the correct location.
