WHAT: Comptroller Franchot will visit the shops of West Annapolis to join elected officials and area business representatives in encouraging consumers to shop locally this holiday season as part of his “Shop Maryland for the Holidays” campaign. As Maryland’s Chief Fiscal Officer, Comptroller Franchot is encouraging Marylanders to support local businesses when shopping for the holiday season. Supporting local businesses, who employ more than 500,000 hard-working Marylanders, keeps citizens’ hard-earned money in their communities, allowing for revitalization and sustainability of neighborhoods.
