Comptroller Honors Long-Time

Hereford Zone Volunteer for

Years of Service to Area Schools

 

To Present Golden Apple Award to Linda Price of

Baltimore County

                        Baltimore County Public Schools officials 

WHAT:          Comptroller Franchot will present Linda Price, a 20-year volunteer in Hereford area schools with his inaugural Golden Apple Award for Baltimore County. The new award program is designed to recognize outstanding volunteers, both organizations and individuals, within the Maryland public school system.

                       Ms. Price, through her work with My Neighbor’s Foundation, helps Hereford Zone school children in challenging financial circumstances buy school supplies, attend summer camp or attend special field trips. The group supports children at six area schools including Hereford High School. 

                       Following the award presentation, Comptroller Franchot will visit Mt. Washington Tavern and the Arbutus Volunteer Fire Department, presenting them both with proclamations for their service to their respective communities.
