Comptroller Franchot Visits Taneytown

 

- Meet with Business Leaders, See Revitalization Efforts on Main Street -

WHAT:           Comptroller Franchot will join Carroll County officials, city officials, the greater Taneytown business community and non-profit groups in a business roundtable discussion to hear how current economic conditions have impacted the Taneytown business community and what challenges the city has dealt with. 

 

                        The Comptroller will also take a walking tour, weather permitting, of downtown Taneytown. He will see firsthand, recent revitalization efforts such as the newly completed streetscape project, investment into preservation of storefronts and the abundance of new business coming to downtown. Taneytown partnered with the State Highway Administration in a recently completed $23 million streetscape project which has revitalized the downtown area.
