Christophe Godfrey Bacote Pinnick was born June 27, 1947, to the late Doris Alma Pinnick and Milton Bacote. Christophe had a great bond and was raised by his stepfather Russell Pinnick Christophe. Affectionately known as Chris, he departed his earthly June 2 after a brief illness.
Chris received his education from Saint Francis Xavier Catholic and Archbishop Curley Catholic High Schools. He later graduated from Morgan State College (now University) with a degree in political science. In 1966 he joined the United States Army, was stationed in Korea and was honorably discharged.
At an early age he was raised in the Catholic faith at St. Francis Xavier Church where he was christened and baptized. Chris served as an altar boy for several years and was a member of various youth groups and organizations.
He was employed in various occupations, Continental Can Company; Woodburne Center and the Housing Authority, to name a few. Subsequently, he retired from the Census Bureau in 2009 after many years of service.
Christ was a compassionate man who was a friend to many and loved by all. He enjoyed spending time with family and friends, fishing, traveling and playing games. Chris was an avid cook and was always up for a challenge to a cook-off. He loved sports and played basketball in high school. One of his well-kept secrets was being an all-star basketball player for Archibishop Curley.
