Hello everyone! Happy holidays to you all! Everything is beginning to look so beautiful with the lights glittering on the homes and front lawns. Many folks with social clubs and organizations are taking advantage of the holidays by having events to help you celebrate this festive season. I LOVE IT!

Enjoy the holiday season at Maceo’s Restaurant and Lounge on Monroe Street every Thursday and Friday nights for the rest of December. Dante Daniels and his partners are such wonder hosts and owners. They have outstanding personality and much love for their patrons. To put this club in a number one spot for me is not only the way they treat their patrons. They offer the best in live entertainment, but the food is to die for. While you are sitting and relaxing enjoying your favorite cocktail at a reasonable price, but you can see great entertainment and have a full course meal or a sandwich. Take my word for it. Check it out.

Now here is something for your holiday cheers; it is a wheel barrow of liquor including; case of Barefoot Moscato, case of Sutter Home Merlot, case of Corona, case of Heineken; fifths of Hennessey, Absolut, White Label, Wild Turkey, Chivas Regal, Bombay, Barcardi Select, Christian Brothers, Jim Beam, Malibu Rum, Courvoiser, Grey Goose, Crown Royal, VO Gold, 1800 Tequila, E&J VSOP, Jose Cuevo, Jack Daniels, Ciroc Peach and more. My lands of Mercy! If you win this raffle you and your friends can stay drunk for the next couple of years. All of this is available hosted by the Sons of American Legion Post #263 in a fundraiser for the Loch Raven Rehabilitation Center on Dec. 19, 9 p.m. at 151 Winters Lane, Post #263. The cover for this event is to bring an unwrapped new toy for kids. For more information, call 443-963-5711.

Here is a holiday event for the mature partygoers! That means leave the children at home, folks. This is an event given by the Fullwood Travel Unlimited and friends every year. Every year, they have over 1,200 guests. The attire is dress to impress in the colors of red, green, black, purple, blue or gold. You will be able to join in a “Special Presentation”, called “Baltimore Got Talent,” BYOB, and bring your own dishes. It will be held at the Patapsco Arena, 3301 Annapolis Road in Baltimore on Dec. 15, from 9 p.m. to 2 a.m. For ticket information, call 410-542-2530.

Terry Battle and Jumpstreet will perform at the Eubie Blake National jazz Institute and Cultural Center with a “Holiday Jazz Concert” on Dec. 15 from 8-11 p.m. The ticket price covers a light fare with a cash bar available for wine and beer. For reservations, call 410-225-3130.

By the way, ladies and gentlemen, my “Boo-Boo” (Shorty Trusty) and I are celebrating our anniversary of 53 years of dating and 12 years of marriage on Dec. 15. I am still on my honeymoon!

Just received a note saying that there will be a “Tribute to the Left Bank Jazz Society” from organizations called “Last Chance Entertainment and Unique Ventures Unlimited. Now I have a question; Does this tribute means that the historical organization “Left Bank Jazz Society” is coming back? If so, it is about time! If not, then why not? I and my readers want to know. Now according to the information I received; these two organizations are hosting a super smooth Sunday Jazz Cabaret on Dec. 16 from 5-9 p.m. at the Forest Park Senior Center, 4801 Liberty Heights Avenue in Baltimore. You will be entertained by the original “Wolf-Pack” jazz with a twist. Okay……They will serve dinner, which is included with your ticket. I do believe it is BYOB. It seems like it is very much sit-up like the old “Left Bank Jazz Society thing, but who in the duck-plucking is Wolf-Pack Jazz Band? Give them a call at 410-532-2274. It might be something you will enjoy. Call me and let me know.

FYI: Ladies and Gentlemen, help stop the rumor, the historical Arch Social Club on the corner of Pennsylvania and North Avenues did not have a fire. I know when you drive by, it seems that way, but the interior of the club is as beautiful as ever, but soon will be remodeled, too. The outside of the building only looks this way because contractors are stripping the facing to bring it back as it originally looked in its heydays. The club is still open for business as usual. Spread the word, spread the truth.

Well, my dear friends, keep in touch, be very careful out there shopping in the malls and shopping center for the holidays. Always carry someone with you. If you need me, call me at 410-833-9474 or you can email me at rosapryor@aol.com. Read me on line and leave your comments. Happy holidays to you and your family. UNTIL THE NEXT TIME, I’M MUSICALLY YOURS.
