BALTIMORE, MD – July 15, 2013 – 1st Mariner Bank announced today the appointment of Autumn T. Wallace Esq. to the position of Community Reinvestment Act officer.
Wallace will oversee all functions of the bank’s CRA program, including working with community groups, faith based groups, community development corporations and trade groups to understand the credit needs of communities in the bank’s footprint. Among other duties, Wallace will conduct compliance training and will assist in the development and implementation of the bank’s affordable housing program.
CRA is a federal law that encourages banks and savings organizations to lend to all neighborhoods and communities as well as to low-and-moderate income areas in their region.

In addition to serving as CRA officer, Wallace will continue her role as associate corporate counsel to the bank where she is the liaison between 1st Mariner Bank and the Federal Deposit Insurance Corp., a federal regulator. She also continues as departmental chair for the bank’s consumer complaint management committee and will keep the bank’s senior leadership team up-to-date on changes in laws and regulations governing the banking industry.
Wallace joined 1st Mariner in July 2010 and previously worked at Regional Management Inc., a Baltimore-based property management company. She also worked as a law clerk in the felony division of the Office of the Public Defender for Baltimore City, and was a case manager at the Community Development Legal Clinic II in Washington, D.C.
Wallace graduated from Morgan State University in 2004 and received a law degree from the University of District of Columbia David A. Clarke School of Law. She is currently pursuing her LL.M. at the University of Baltimore School of Law.
