WASHINGTON Santa Claus is coming to town, and he’s heading straight to Howard University Hospital.
St. Nick and his helpers are taking a break from their Christmas preparations in the North Pole to visit with Washington-area children from 10 a.m. to 5 p.m. Thursday, Dec. 20, in Freedmen’s Hall of the hospital. Children can tell Santa what they want for Christmas, take photos with Kris Kringle and take home the candy canes he will be handing out.
“It’s a great way to end the year by spreading the Christmas spirit and saying thank you to the community” said Patricia Dillard, director of C.A.R.E. coordination for the hospital.
There was no word if Santa will be bringing Rudolph or the rest of his reindeer.
