Trump Labels Obama Win a ‘Disgusting Injustice’

Real estate tycoon Donald Trump had a Twitter meltdown on Election Day, calling President Obama’s re-election victory “a travesty” that leaves the U.S. in distress.

“Let’s fight like hell and stop this great and disgusting injustice! The world is laughing at us,” he said in tweets that began in a conciliatory tone on Election Day and deepened into an anti-Obama rant in the early hours of Nov. 7.

At first, the strident Obama critic seemed philosophical. As voters assembled at the polls the morning of Nov. 6, he tweeted, “Whoever wins today, remember that tomorrow we still have a country struggling. Our work is not done until America is strong again.”

As the results began to come in and things began to look grim for Republican candidate Mitt Romney, Trump commented, “Well, back to the drawing board!”

But later, after the reality of President Obama’s resounding victory began to sink in, “The Apprentice” star began to get increasingly irate, even calling for a revolution.

“More votes equals a loss….revolution,” read one post, which was later deleted along with his more inflammatory tweets. At the time of this tweet, Romney had a slim lead in the popular vote, though President Obama eventually captured the popular vote as well.

Trump’s rant continued, “We can't let this happen. We should march on Washington and stop this travesty. Our nation is totally divided!”

Trump, who flirted with a presidential run, has engaged in a campaign of non-stop harassment of the president, whose citizenship status and academic credentials he has challenged throughout Obama’s first term.

After Obama had tallied enough states around 11:15 p.m. to be declared the winner of the needed 270 Electoral College votes to capture the presidency, Trump blasted the Electoral College, the same mechanism under which Obama predecessor George W. Bush won a controversial victory in 2000 though he had lost the popular vote.

“This election is a total sham and a travesty. We are not a democracy!” Trump ranted. “The electoral college is a disaster.”

By Nov. 7, Trump’s bluster intensified.

“Our country is now in serious and unprecedented trouble…like never before,” he tweeted.

“No surprise that all the foreign countries are celebrating Obama's win. They love a weak America that they can rip off,” he added. “China's Communist Party has now publicly praised Obama's reelection. They have never had it so good. Will own America soon.”

In past months, the media and the general public have seemingly lost their tolerance for Trump’s shenanigans. He was blasted for his recent announcement that he would give $5 million to charity if the president released his travel and school records. And, on Election Night, NBC’s Brian Williams dismissed Trump as having “driven well past the last exit to relevance and peered into something closer to irresponsible here.”
