Eddie D. Scott a senior at Wilberforce University majoring in Political Science was recently elected as the 60th Junior Grand Vice Polemarch, which is the highest undergraduate position in the Kappa Alpha Psi Fraternity. Scott’s journey began in the fall of 2011 when he was initiated into the Delta Chapter of one of the oldest fraternities at Wilberforce University and the fourth oldest fraternity in the National Pan-Hellenic Council (NPHC).
“I am most proud of being the first on my father’s side to go to college, being able to travel to 23 states, and being a part of several organizations,” Scott said. “My mother has been the foundation for most of my life. She has also been supportive and I love her.” The legacy he wishes to leave is, “That I always gave back and that I tried to have an impact on someone here at Wilberforce University.” Finally, Scott aspires to be an ordained minister, following in the steps of his former pastor and mentor, the Rev. Dr. Ronald E. Braxton, and mentor, the Rev. Dr. Frank M. Reid III, pastor of Bethel AME Church in Baltimore.
