Raise the Wage: White House Releases New Interactive Minimum Wage Maps

The White House– Today, the White House released new interactive maps highlighting the positive effects of raising the national minimum wage for hard-working Americans across the country, which would increase earnings for millions of workers and boost the bottom lines of businesses across the country. The maps can be found HERE.

In his State of the Union address, the President called on Congress to give America a raise and increase the national minimum wage from $7.25 to $10.10 an hour, and soon after signed an Executive Order to raise the minimum wage to $10.10 for the individuals working on new federal service contracts.

While the President has taken action to raise the minimum wage and Democrats in Congress are advancing legislation to give 28 million workers a raise – Republicans in Congress continue to stand in the way.

The President again calls on Congressional Republicans to listen to the will of the majority of Americans who say it’s time to give America a raise and help ensure that no American who works full time has to raise a family in poverty, and that every American who works hard has the opportunity to get ahead.
