The Prince George’s County, Md. Police Department is investigating the murder of a man in Fort Washington, Md.

The incident was discovered by police about 9:25 a.m. on Sept. 18 when patrol officers went to a home in the 6100 block of Kildare Court. They had been asked to check the welfare of someone at the location, according to a statement on the department’s blog.

Officers found a man suffering from a gunshot wound; he was pronounced dead at the scene. Police later identified the dead man as Kquante Markis Fisher, 19. He lived at the Kildare Court address.

Police are investigating the killing, which does not appear to be a random attack. No motive or suspect was listed in the statement.
