Former Quinnipiac University Athlete to Be Inducted in New England Basketball Hall of Fame


Former Quinnipiac University basketball player Rob Monroe will soon be inducted into the New England Basketball Hall of Fame.

The athlete, who played for Quinnipiac in Connecticut from 2001-2005, led the team in many statistical categories including field goal attempts, field goals made, 3-point attempts, 3 pointers made and more.

During Monroe’s early basketball career, he received MVP awards while attending Montrose Christian Academy in Rockville, Md. He later went on to receive MVP of the Tri-State Conference while at Berkshire Academy in Massachusetts.

He was later awarded a four-year scholarship to attend Quinnipiac University, where he received numerous awards including the Northeast Conference Rookie of the Year, among many others.

Monroe and two other former players will be officially inducted into the New England Basketball Hall of Fame on June 22 at the DCU Center in Worcester, Mass.
