Fullback Darrell Young scored three touchdowns, including the game-winning score in overtime as the Washington Redskins defeated the San Diego Chargers, 30-24 on Nov. 3 at FedEx Field in Landover, Md.

With approximately 20 seconds left in regulation time, San Diego appeared to win the game when quarterback Phillip Rivers tossed a pass to Danny Woodhead that was called a touchdown on the field. But an official review overturned that ruling and instead put Woodhead one yard short of the touchdown. The Chargers settled for a field goal to tie the score 24-24, sending the game into overtime.

Redskins quarterback Robert Griffin III then led his team on a 10-play, 78-yard drive that ended with Young plunging into the end zone for his third touchdown of the game.

Griffin made several clutch passes on the game-winning drive, most of them caught by receiver Pierre Garcon. Griffin finished with 291 yards and completed 23 of 33 passes; Garcon caught seven catches for 172 yards and running back Alfred Morris led Washington with 121 yards on 25 carries.

Rivers completed 29 of 46 passes for 341 yards, two touchdowns and two interceptions. Keenan Allen led the Chargers with eight catches for 128 yards and a touchdown.

Washington improved their record to 3-5 and will face the Minnesota Vikings on Nov. 7 in Minneapolis.
