Ada Virginia Simms, 80 Day Care Provider/ Nurse

(June 11, 2009) - Ada Virginia Simms was born on Dec. 7, 1929 in Baltimore, Md. She is the daughter of the late John and Blanche Irene Simms. Ada departed this life on April 4, after a lengthy illness.

She was educated in the Baltimore City Public School System. After completion of her education, she became a homemaker, daycare provider and private duty nurse. Ada loved God and going to church.

Her family was important to her and she would do anything to help others. Ada was married to Joseph David Simms Sr. "Ma-Ma," as she was affectionately called, was a devoted mother, grandmother and great-grandmother. Simms was predeceased by her child Selby Simms.

Ada leaves to celebrate her life: five children Karl, Karlene, known as Smiley, Marsha, called Reds (Nathaniel), Joseph Jr. "Peanut," and Karlton Simms; two sisters, Blanche Johnson and Frances France; 13 grandchildren, Mark, Wendell Jr., Lisa, Latrise, Brandon, Donyelle "Tinker Bell" (Keith), Domonte, Victoria, Latisha, “Tish,” Sharnete “Shawn,” Keneisha, Keirra and Krystian; 12 great-grandchildren and a host of other relatives and friends.

The gates of Heaven has open to receive a beautiful soul it is truly a loss here on earth and a gain in heaven. I shall miss you my friend. I will miss our long talks and will keep my promise to you. I appreciate the wisdom you bestowed upon me. I love you and I miss you thank you for teaching me Proverbs 31:30 and so much more Virtuous Woman Until we Meet Again.....
