(September 20, 2009) - When Briana Johnson’s labor started, according to a report on The Grio.com, she did what every other expectant mother does: called the doctor and got up to head to the hospital. But when she did, her water broke.
According to the online report, Johnson’s only help was the phone and her 6-year-old daughter, Diyana. Johnson called 911 and asked her daughter to open the front door and bring a blanket.
The young lady did as instructed, staying with her mom and helping until her baby sister was born, four minutes later, according to the report, before emergency crews and the children’s grandfather could arrive.
Johnson, according to the Grio.com, called her daughter a hero, saying, “I wouldn't have been able to do it without her. I don't know how things would have happened.”
