Baltimore native Willie James Robinson went to be with the Lord on March 17, while in the care of his youngest daughter, Karen Y. Veney, in Olympia, Wash.

Willie Robinson was a man that was easily loved by all that came in contact with him. His trademark phrase, “It ain’t easy,” is remembered by all as he took life to be too short to stress over minor details. He loved singing an old hymn, “Blessed Assurance:” This is my story, this is my song; Praising my savior all the day long; This is my story, this is my song; Praising my savior all the day long.”

Willie Robinson is survived by his wife Cecelia Guest of Baltimore, three children, Nadine D. Coleman, Karen Y. Veney, and Tyrone C. Robinson; two son -in-laws, Johnny Coleman and Samuel Veney; one daughter- in-law, Kim Robinson; four grandchildren, Nacie Jones and Janel, Renard and Jalen Robinson; three sisters, Daisy Johnson, Hazel Thomas and Josephine Brown as well as many nieces, nephews and friends.

Condolences may be sent to 422 Alonna Place Olympia, W.A. 98506. To leave a personal message for the family please visit www.woodlawn-funeralhome.com.
