-First-Hand Assessment of the Baltimore County School’s Renovation Needs-

WHAT: Comptroller Peter Franchot will join Baltimore County Public Schools administrators, as well as state and local officials as they tour Hampton Elementary School. The school system is asking the state for more than $78 million in total for various projects, of which more than $6 million has been requested for Hampton Elementary.
As in years past, Comptroller Franchot, as a member of the state’s Board of Public Works, which approves school construction funding, plans to visit schools throughout the state to make a first-hand assessment of current needs, as well as long-term plans for future renovations. Overall, approximately $606 million has been requested from 21 school districts throughout Maryland.
