BALTIMORE, Jan. 4, 2013 – Baltimore Gas and Electric Company (BGE) today announced that in celebration of the Baltimore Ravens’ fifth consecutive playoff run, the company will illuminate its downtown headquarters building with purple lights this evening.
“Just as BGE has long been a part of the fabric of Baltimore, so are the Ravens,” said Kenneth W. DeFontes Jr., president and chief executive officer of BGE. “BGE will be cheering on the Ravens as they battle the Indianapolis Colts on Sunday and is pleased to support our hometown team in this very visible way as the Ravens make an incredible fifth consecutive playoff run.”
The purple lights have been placed on the outside of the entire span of the fourth floor of BGE’s headquarters and create an illusion of a purple ring encircling the building. BGE will keep the lights up as long as the Ravens continue to advance in the playoffs.
