WHAT:           Comptroller Peter Franchot will join several dignitaries and staff from the Baltimore CASH Campaign to announce the availability of free community tax services for low-income working families at 15 sites in Baltimore City and County, made possible by the Baltimore CASH Campaign.

Embarking on its twelfth year of tax preparation, the Baltimore CASH Campaign has prepared and filed more than 85,000 tax returns at no cost to the taxpayer, putting more than $135 million in federal and state refunds and tax credits into the pockets of hard-working families and individuals in Baltimore. This year, Baltimore CASH will hold a “Free File Tax Bash,” a three-day marathon of extended free tax preparation services at the Central Pratt Library, beginning this Thursday, February 7 until Saturday, February 9 from 10 a.m. until 3 p.m. each day.
