GOVERNOR O'MALLEY FILLS QUEEN ANNE'S COUNTY COMMISSIONER

VACANCY

 

ANNAPOLIS, MD (December 16, 2013) – Today, Governor Martin O'Malley announced the appointment of James Joseph "Jim" Moran to the Queen's County Commission. He will fill the vacancy left by Steven J. Arentz, who was recently appointed to the Maryland House of Delegates for Legislative District 36, representing parts of Caroline, Cecil, Kent and Queen Anne's Counties.


James Joseph "Jim" Moran has served as a Member of the Queen Anne's County Planning Commission since 2011 and was appointed Vice Chair in 2012. He is also a Decorative Concrete Contractor for Increte of Maryland, Inc. and Managing Partner of Mid-Atlantic Pigments, LLC. Mr. Moran also serves as a Board Member for the Chesapeake Shores Chapter of Associated Builders and Contractors. Before his appointment to the Queen Anne's County Planning Commission, he served as a Member of the Queen Anne's County Economic Development Commission and the Queen Anne's County Task Force. Mr. Moran also previously served in the United States Marine Corps.
