The Washington Craft Show is set to return to the Washington Convention Center for its 26th season during the weekend of Nov. 1.
The event will include 190 of the nation’s most celebrated contemporary craft artists presenting their latest work in a dozen different media, including: basketry, ceramics, decorative textiles, furniture, glass, wearable art, jewelry, leather, metal, mixed media, paper, and wood.
The show is professionally juried to ensure the highest level of excellence and originality in the work presented. Every piece is designed and made in artists' studios across America.
Weekend events include informative discussions by leaders in the field of Contemporary American Craft, including Elizabeth Broun, Ph.D., Director of the Smithsonian American Art Museum and its Renwick Gallery; Jennifer Sergent, author of the DC by Design blog and a contributing editor to Luxe Interiors and Design; metal artist David Bacharach; and wearable art maker Amy Nguyen.
