CARDIN TO COMMEMORATE ANNIVERSARY OF 9/11



Senator’s Weekend Schedule for 10th Anniversary of 9/11


U.S. Senator Ben Cardin (D-MD) will participate in a number of events commemorating the 10th anniversary of 9/11. He also will attend the Maryland National Guard Fallen Warrior Memorial Ceremony honoring the 11 Marylanders who have died in Operations Iraqi Freedom, Enduring Freedom and Noble Eagle in Afghanistan and Iraq since those operations began. His schedule for Saturday, September 10 and Sunday, September 11 include:

Saturday, September 10:

· 10 a.m. -- Wreath Laying Ceremony for MD National Guard Fallen Warrior Memorial

· 1 p.m. – St. John’s College “9/11 Dialogue with Young Leaders”
LOCATION: St. John’s College, McDowell Hall,

Sunday, September 11:

· 11:30 a.m. – 9/11 Remembrance with Howard County Muslim Community
LOCATION: Howard County Islamic Center

· 7 p.m. – 9/11 -- Ten Years Later, sponsored by The Associated Jewish Charities, Baltimore Jewish Council, and Chizuk Amuno.
