LT. GOVERNOR BROWN TO CELEBRATE EARTH DAY WITH STUDENTS FROM

 

PRINCE GEORGE’S, BALTIMORE CITY

 

 

ANNAPOLIS, Md. (April 19, 2013) – MONDAY, Lt. Governor Anthony Brown will celebrate Earth Day at events with students in Prince George’s County and Baltimore City. In the morning, the Lt. Governor will participate in a tree planting ceremony at Potomac Landing Elementary School in the Potomac Watershed, where he will speak to nearly 200 students about the importance of taking action to protect our environment. He will also join Baltimore City students from Gilmore Elementary School, Woodlawn Middle School and the SEED School to help plant more than 100 trees at Gwynns Falls Run in Baltimore County.

NOTE: The walk to the planting location is paved and in good condition, but the location of the planting itself is in a clearing in the woods, and the undergrowth reaches ankle to knee height in some places.
