Maple Lawn’s retailers and restaurants will kick off Breast Cancer Awareness Month with a massive display of bras and fun activities to support local breast cancer organizations. Taking place Oct. 2, from 5 p.m. to 8 p.m., The 8th Annual Pink Nite in Maple Lawn is an evening of shopping, dining, prizes, a silent auction for gift certificates, sports items and merchants’ baskets, and Howard County’s largest bra stretch – 500 bras along Maple Lawn Blvd. WPOC’s Laurie DeYoung will join in the fun as Maple Lawn’s stores and restaurants offer giveaways items and special promotions. Shoppers and diners can pick up an event bingo card with the participating merchants listed, visit them for special items and to get their squares stamped, and win gift cards by bringing back a completed bingo card.
