| Help small businesses and nonprofits get health coverage! Urge your legislators to support HB 709/SB 632 to create a state subsidy program to help more small employers, including faith based organizations, be able to afford health coverage for their employees. Only 37% of small groups offer health coverage to employees in Maryland, compared with 95% of large groups. A major reason is cost. The COVID-19 pandemic makes it more important than ever for small employers to be able to offer health coverage to employees, and Maryland can help thanks to an influx of $7 billion in federal funding.
