The ladies of Alpha Kappa Alpha Sorority, Inc., Upsilon Epsilon Omega Chapter are hosting their inaugural women’s conference “The Level Up Experience” on Saturday, October 5 at the Sollers Point Multi-Purpose Center from 10 a.m. to 3 p.m., Delegate Dr. Terri Hill will be the  keynote speaker for the conference, among other guests.

You have the option of two tracks to follow throughout the day which include the health track or the wealth track. Topics covered in the health track include: women in heart disease with Dr. Tigist Hailu, menopause and skin care with Dr. Cylburn Soden, Sr., and other topics covered by leading African-American health care professionals. The wealth track will cover topics such as understanding taxes, credit, and credit repair with finance professionals Shawn Hart and Alphonso Styles. 

Do you have a college-bound high school junior or senior? They are encouraged to join the #CAP Kickoff Session, a program dedicated to college readiness, where they will learn about the college admissions process, financial aid, and more. The community is also encouraged to bring their documents and unwanted paper to participate in the Free Community Shred Day from noon to 2:00pm.
