The Dunbar Poets of Baltimore advanced on to the Maryland 2A state semifinals after beating the Patterson Clippers of Baltimore, 20-8, in the regional finals on Nov. 20 in Baltimore, Md.
The win marked Dunbar’s 50th playoff victory in school history after the Poets (9-2) barely squeezed into the playoffs with a victory over Edmondson-Westside in the regular season finale on Nov. 6.
