The Belair-Edison community hosted it’s “1st Chess Match” in Herring Run Park on Thursday August 20. It was a family friendly event and boards were provided along with snowballs, snacks and other games to entertain.

On Saturday August 29 from 8 a.m. – 4 p.m. in partnership with the FINE (Financially Independent and Empowered) Women Academy the neighborhood will be sponsoring the organization’s 2015 Annual Convention at the Student Center at Morgan State University. Guest speakers will include Marilyn J. Mosby, Baltimore City State’s Attorney and Diane Bell McKoy, President and CEO of Associated Black Charities.
