Actor-comedian Tracy Morgan is doing better after his tragic accident almost four months ago, according to Chris Rock.

On June 7, Morgan was riding along with other comedians and friends on a limo bus in New Jersey after a standup performance, when a Wal-Mart truck slammed into the limo.  Morgan suffered several broken bones and others were injured, including comedian James “Jimmy Mack” McNair, who died as a result of the crash.

“He’s OK. I saw him not too long ago. He doesn’t live too far from me,” Rock said according to E! Online. “He was very happy. He’s got physical therapists. There’s a lot of rehab going on. He’s traumatized—his friend died.”

The actor-comedian said he showed Morgan a copy of Top Five, a movie written and produced by Rock about a comedian who strives to become a serious actor, while his fiancée, a reality star, coaxes him into allowing their wedding to be filmed for TV.  Morgan plays a role in the movie alongside movie stars such as Rosario Dawson, Adam Sandler, Jerry Seinfeld, Kevin Hart, Whoopi Goldberg, Gabrielle Union, Sherri Shepherd and comedienne Leslie Jones.

Rock and Morgan have been close for while, dating back to when they both worked on “Saturday Night Live,” performed standups together and co-starred in various movies.
