The annual day when thousands of volunteers organize classrooms, plant gardens and spruce up buildings to make sure DC Public Schools are ready to receive students for the first day of school will occur on Aug. 23 from 9:00 a.m. to 1:00 p.m. Additional details about the day will be sent to registered volunteers closer to the event.
