Despite rumors swirling about ill health, boxing icon Muhammad Ali is comfortably at home in Scottsdale, Ariz., according to family, friends and an Ali spokesman.
The health of the former heavyweight champion had been the subject of speculation after he collapsed five days after the funeral of three-time opponent Joe Frazier and was treated for dehydration.
“While Muhammad Ali received treatment for dehydration on Nov. 19, he is currently at home, well, happy and carrying on with his daily routine,” Craig Bankey, Ali’s official California-based spokesman, said Dec. 9.
Ali was treated for dehydration and released from a Scottsdale hospital. He has been battling Parkinson’s Disease. He is to celebrate his 70th birthday in January.
