The sophomore class of historic Frederick Douglass High School in West Baltimore recently celebrated the end of the 2019 school year with a cookout.

“The sophomore cookout was to celebrate the students’ success and achievement during the school year,” said Guy Bosworth-Meekins, Douglass’ sophomore class adviser.

“The students demonstrated collective work and responsibility by cooperating with the faculty and staff throughout the school year.”

The Douglass sophomore cookout was sponsored in part by several prominent community members including: attorney Billy Murphy, attorney Kenneth Ravenell,   public relations expert Adrian Harpool, Ret. Judge Robert Mack Bell, and restaurant owner, Kevin Brown, among others.
