Jenneane Welling Bradford, native Baltimorean and daughter of Minerva Richardson Welling and John Cornelius Welling passed away on Sept. 26, 2011. She is the sister of Delores Jenkins and Leonard Donald Welling, both residing in Baltimore. She is also the niece of local legendary broadcaster Chuck Richards.
While growing up in West Baltimore, Jenneane graduated in 1952 from Douglass High School and remained very active with the alumnae group. Jenneane enjoyed going to social outings, including jazz events with her club members and friends. She loved to travel and after leaving Baltimore she lived in Washington State, Delaware and Houston, Texas before returning to Baltimore where she retired from employment with the State of Maryland.
Jenneane’s life was enriched by her extended family which includes her nieces, Kirsten Jenkins Roach and Kimberly Y. Moore and nephews Irvin Jenkins, Jr (Bev), Michael L. Jenkins (Andrea), Gary A. Jenkins (Jean), Bryant K. Jenkins (Luwanda), and great nieces and nephews, Lauren, Morgan, Miles, Nicole (Gary), Deon (Dominique), Michael., Gaylon, Kai, Marcus(Tea), Ariene, and Michael, Jr. She also leaves to cherish her memory a host of loving family and friends.
