Hello everyone. It’s been two weeks and I missed you. I have a lot to talk about in a very little space. So if I missed you this time, I’ll try to make it up later. You just keep sending me your press releases, letters, flyers, pictures, and notes, but send them at least three weeks in advance.

This week I want to talk about a lovely R&B balladeer singer who is new to us, but new to the music and entertainment world. Jacquel’s voice will remind you of Jill Scott and Erykah Badu. She has shared the stage with artists such as Betty Wright, Shirley Brown, Mel Waiters, Evelyn “Champagne” King, Curtis Blow and the Stylistics, just to name a few. Her latest CD on J-Time Label is great. Her CD party is Sept. 10, 8 p.m., at the Diamondz Event Center, 9980 Liberty Road in Randallstown.

I also want to tell you about the First Annual Pennsylvania Avenue Historical Festival in Baltimore for the Labor Day weekend. It will be one of the most exciting, educational, historical, interesting and fun festivals you have ever seen. You all are invited to be a part of this festive event. The Cadillac parade, which will start on Pennsylvania and north to Pennsylvania and Lafayette, features all kinds of Cadillacs, marching bands, organizations like the Masons and Elks, fraternities, sororities, Arabbers and much more.

Please, don’t forget the Jazz Expressways Foundation is having their jazz breakfast on Sept. 11 at the New Haven Lounge, 10 a.m. until 2 p.m., featuring Gregg Hatza and The Organization. For tickets, call Howard (Ease) at 410-323-7295. I’ll see you there.

The Moore Clinic/Jeff & Pharmacy Fund will be sponsoring the 2010 charity fundraiser for the Michael Del Bianco Fund on Sept. 4, 4-8 p.m., at the Belvedere Hotel, 1 East Chase St., in Baltimore. The ticket includes food, music and lots of fun. For more information, call Tiger Lil at 410-585-4331.

Would you believe it? I am out of space. But before I leave, I just want to let you all know that Biddy Wood is home now and is doing great. He wanted me to tell you that he appreciated all the cards, visits and phone calls he received while in the hospital. He can be reached at 410-383-7870.

If you need me call me at 410-833-9474 or e-mail me at rosapryor@aol.com. UNTIL THEN, I’M MUSICALLY YOURS. I’LL SEE YOU AT THE NEWSSTAND.
