Just when summer gets started it’s over, but what a summer it has been, from summer concerts in the park, cruising on the Chesapeake, walking the beach, eating crabs with friends, cooking out, picnics on the beach, late night pool parties it has been a magical time creating memories that will last forever. I can’t wait for my vacation to get some rest. LOL (Laughing out Loud.)
“It’s getting hot in here…” The heat was gruesome Wednesday afternoon but it didn’t stop the crowds attending one of the largest outdoor crab feasts in Crisfield, Md. It was a who’s who of Maryland politics with current and former elected officials including former Gov. Marvin Mandel, Lt. Gov. Anthony Brown, Sen. Joan Conway, Del. Cheryl Glenn, Sen. Delores Kelly, Paula Johnson Branch, Fred and Lavonne Grant, Will Jackson, Anthony Jones, Comptroller Pete Franchot, Tony White, Councilman Ken Oliver, Jeffrey Johnson, Karenthia Barber, Rosa Barber, Del. Keiffer Mitchell, Patti Burr, Graham Henry, Cleve and Nancy Brister, Donald and Ailene Watson and people from all parts of Maryland converging on this Eastern Shore city by bus, boat, planes and cars for this annual outing. People enjoyed the delectable treats from the Eastern Shore including fresh corn on the cob, steamed clams, hush puppies, fried fish and Smith Island chocolate cake. A special thanks to Bruce Bereano’s and his staff for providing a sanctuary from the heat inside his tents complete with cooling fans on high speed.
