BALTIMORE (AP) — Baltimore police say a man accused of causing a crash that killed a 1-year-old boy during a police pursuit has been arrested in North Carolina.

Police said Saturday that U.S. Marshals arrested 38-year-old Wayne Green in Wilmington, North Carolina. He is in custody there, pending extradition to Maryland.

Green is wanted for negligent manslaughter, attempting to evade a police officer and driving with a revoked license.

Police say Green was fleeing from officers last Sunday night when his car hit another vehicle, sending it into a bus stop. That car hit 1-year-old Jeremiah Perry, who later died. Green was released from a hospital before he was charged.

Green pleaded guilty to vehicular homicide in 2002 in Baltimore County and was sentenced to three years in jail.
