Emancipation Day

The annual Maryland Emancipation Day will be held on Nov. 7, noon at the Reginald F. Lewis Museum. The program will bring two scholars together exploring themes from 19th century Black life. Dr. M. Nzadi Keita ofUrsinus College will share poems from her new book “Brief Evidence of Heaven:  Poems from the Life of Anna Murray Douglass”, the wife of Frederick Douglass, and Dr. Karsonya W.
