Cardin in White Oak to Host Town Hall Meeting with Workforce at U.S. Food and Drug Administration

Senator to underscore commitment to federal workers, need for strong budgets that enable successful pursuit of agency missions

Monday, March 7 at 1:30 PM, U.S. Senator Ben Cardin (D-Md.) will host a town hall-style meeting with U.S. Food and Drug Administration (FDA) employees and contractors to discuss a variety of issues related to the federal workforce and the agency’s pursuit of its critical mission to keep Americans safe.
“Far too often, the accomplishments of our federal workforce are overlooked or under-appreciated, and the time has come to fully recognize the true range of the contributions of our civil servants,” said Senator Cardin. “The efforts of our dedicated federal workers are critical to keeping our nation safe. From regulating medications to ensuring that our food supply is the safest in the world, the daily accomplishments of workers at the FDA and its sister agencies are hugely important to protecting the public health and well-being. I look forward to the opportunity to exchange ideas with those whose unwavering efforts do so much for this country.”
