Senior quarterback Moses Skillon scored two touchdowns and sophomore running back Orlando Johnson ran in a third touchdown to lead the Morgan State University Bears to a 26-6 win over the Delaware State University Hornets in a Mid-Eastern Athletic Conference (MEAC) contest on Oct. 3 in Dover, Del.
It was the second straight victory for Morgan State, improving their overall record to 2-2 and 2-0 against the MEAC.
The win came on the back of Morgan State’s defense, which held Delaware State to just one score, a 65-yard touchdown pass in the third quarter. From that point on, Morgan State scored 20 unanswered points, including a touchdown pass and run by Skillon.
Skillon completed 11 of 26 pass attempts for 143 yards and an 11-yard touchdown to junior running back Lamont Brown III. Skillon also ran for 61 yards himself, including a 32-yard touchdown.
Orlando Johnson led Morgan State with 124 rushing yards on 21 carries. Freshman defensive back Darius Johnson led MSU’s defense with an interception.
