The Bethune-Cookman College(BCC) Wildcats scored five touchdowns to beat Morgan State, 41-10, handing the Bears their fourth straight loss on Nov. 5 at Hughes Stadium in Baltimore, Md.

Morgan State now carries a 2-6 overall record, 2-4 against the Mid-Eastern Athletic Conference (MEAC).
A 48-yard touchdown run by Wildcats quarterback Larry Brihm Jr. and a 23-yard field goal by kicker Uriel Hernandez gave Bethune-Cookman a 10-0 lead in the first quarter. Morgan State’s kicker Alex Raya nailed a 24-yard field goal to cut the score to 10-3, but another touchdown run and field goal by BCC pushed the lead up to 20-3 by halftime. Bears senior quarterback Chris Andrews scored the only touchdown of the game for Morgan State in the third quarter, cutting the lead to 20-10 at the time. But BCC then piled on three more touchdowns to put the lead far out of the Bears’ reach.

Brihm led the Wildcats (3-5 overall, 3-2 MEAC) with 235 passing yards and a touchdown pass on 16 of 28 passes completed; he also ran for a game-high 62 rushing yards.

Andrews finished with just 10 of 28 pass attempts completed for 113 yards for Morgan State and he also had 24 yards rushing. The Bears struggled running the ball as a unit; junior running back Herb Walker Jr. had just 8 yards on six carries and senior running back Lamont Brown III had just 7 yards on six carries.

Next: Morgan State will travel to Tallahassee, Fla., to face Florida A&M (3-6 overall, 3-3 MEAC) on Nov. 12.
