In observance of the Martin Luther King holiday, The National Council of Negro Women is celebrating the organization’s 80th anniversary. The Northern Virginia Section is commemorating the occasion by hosting a Founders Day of Service Jan. 19. at the Warner Baptist Church, 3613 Lacy Boulevard from 1 p.m. to 4 p.m. The section will be packing and mailing 80 care packages for military men and women who serve our country. Please bring personal hygiene products, DVDs, CDs, snack items (no chocolate).
