Saheela Ibraheem, a 15-year-old senior at Wardlaw-Hartridge School in Edison, N.J., is outpacing other students her age as she prepares to attend the esteemed Harvard University. At Harvard, Ibraheem will major in either neurobiology or neuroscience. She was also accepted to the California Institute of Technology, Princeton, Stanford, Columbia, Cornell, Columbia and a host of other distinguished schools.
According to a blackvoices.com report, Ibraheem cites her parents, who are Nigerian immigrants, as key factors in her scholastic success. She has maintained a grade point average between 96 and 97 and received a 2,340 SAT score.
According to the Star Ledger, Ibraheem is also a “three-sport athlete” and participates in her school’s softball, soccer and swimming teams.
